For a long time now I have had a series on lighthouses in my mind that I had wanted to photograph, long exposures with waves crashing all around etc, but my local area where land-meets-sea is void of all such features, It is possibly the UK’s most uninspiring section of coast line.
To find such locations will require a considerable amount of driving, to the far reaches of the country, and I never seen to have the time, or the resources to do it, so I settled for the next best (and relatively local) thing.
Whitby and Flamborough…
So I set off with my Hasselblad, 10 stop filter, and my tripod to see what I could manage…
