Once again it is War & Peace revival at the Hop Farm in Kent, its always a good opportunity to try and get some period fitting photographs if you can find a few seconds without anyone dressed from the 21st century in your background!
I did actually drive the 3 hours down to this show a week early by accident which was quite frustrating, regardless I drove back on the correct day!
The show itself actually starts t the beginning of the week and finishes at the weekend, so during the week of course, it was nothing but sunshine and clear days, and so when it came to the one day I could actually attend, it hammered it down with rain.
My favourite part of the show is the living history area, especially the Red Ball display, they have an entire fleet of deuce and a half’s, half tracks, cranes, jeeps, dozers and a beautiful M4 Sherman. I finally got to meet Paul – one of my pen pals from instagram, we both share an interest in military history, so we walked the show together chatting over just about everything! Thats one Great thing about social media, if you use it properly, it really can allow you to make friends from all walks of life, and corners of the globe.
Despite the rain I managed to get some pictures I really enjoy! next year I’m hoping to camp for a couple of days to take in more of the atmosphere!
